Just announced to perform at this Coachella 2012!
Thundercat is Stephen Bruner. And he can bring the bass. His Flying Lotus-produced debut, The Golden Age of Apocalypse, brings beats, with jazzy fusion and spacey electronic vibes. It definitely exemplifies his relationship with 2011 pre-Grammy brunch performer, Flying Lotus. A longtime contributor to other’s albums, Bruner is accompanied by the likes of Erykah Badu, J*DaVeY, to pianist Austin Peralta, and his own Grammy-winning brother, drummer Ronald Bruner, Jr.
Bruner is a native of South LA and found his first instrument at age 4. As one writer put it, he’s “a mutant jazz cat.” Get excited with “Daylight”, which will give you new age synth, a soft whirl of bluesy piano, and warm bass.
Looking forward to seeing what he can do before all the Coachella-goers at our pre-Grammy event!
